DVD Printing Specs

Our Graphics department will gladly provide attractive design options for custom packaging, but our clients can also provide their own artwork.

Please consult Studio Post prior to design to determine which specs to use.

Disc (DVD, Blu-Ray, or CDR)

• Adhesive Label
  • Download template with guidelines (PSD, 8 MB)
  • Download Disc Printing specs (PDF, 400KB)
  • Dimensions: 118mm (Diameter) circle with 42.5mm (Diameter) hole
  • Include 5mm Bleed around image and inside hole
  • Label stock may shift position in the Printer so ensure any readible information is kept 5mm away from edges
  • Resolution: 300 dpi recommended, RGB colour space
• Printed on Disc
  • Download template with guidelines (PSD, 8 MB)
  • Download Disc Printing specs (PDF, 400KB)
  • Dimensions: 116mm (Diameter) circle with 22mm (Diameter) hole
  • Include 5mm Bleed around image and inside hole
  • Resolution: 300 dpi required, CMYK colour space.

Sleeve (DVD)

• Download template with guidelines (PDF)
• Dimensions: 10.75” x 7.1875”. Spine is 0.5” in middle
• Include .125” bleed around artwork
• Resolution: 300 dpi required, CMYK

General Guidelines

• Minimum Recommended Font Size: 4 pt (san serif), 6 pt (serif)
• Accepted File Formats: AI, EPS, PSD, TIFF, PDF
• Convert fonts to outlines or include PC fonts
• Supply printed proof if possible
• “Made in Canada” should appear on disc and sleeve if it is to be sold across the border and internationally.

Barcode: leave 2” x .1.25” in lower right corner on back if required.
