Now, thanks to the generosity and inspiration of Claude Labine, high quality copies of Call of The Monashee will now be available on DVD. Ernie recently returned from a trip to Edmonton where Claude arranged for the film to be “polished up” and transfered to DVD format by Studio Post Productions. “As film colours differed 50 years ago, much care was taken to preserve the original colour and the integrity of the original film,” explained Ernie. “I was very impressed with the state-of-the-art facility and was told that there are only three production labs like this in all of Canada.” Ernie was very honoured to witness their film being treated so well. “They treated me the same as if I were a big movie producer! The people there were so nice and Claude made it all possible. I can’t thank him enough.”
